Rubber, Vinyl Composition and Porcelain Tiles
Another option to consider is using tiles in any of the above materials. They tend to be easy to install, and they are durable for that matter. They are easy to maintain, as well.
Some of the popular choices include vinyl composition tiles, which you have probably seen in grocery stores. These measure 12 × 12 inches and are 1⁄8” thick.They are glossy, look good, and they do not stain easily.
The porcelain tiles are thicker than ceramic, and they are very durable. You can install these on your own, just as you would put ceramic in a kitchen or bathroom. Of course, you could have the pros install them for you, as well.
The rubber snap together tiles are flexicle and simple. They are easy to clean, and they can provide a nice layer of protection to the floor. In addition to these tiles, you could get a rubber mat that would work in much the same way.
